The Sovereign Table

Embedding Co-Stewardship within a Tribal Homeland

The Sovereign Table proposes a “Land Back” method that supports Tribal biocultural sovereignty while fostering intra-basin co-stewardship. Centered on the Klamath River Basin, The Sovereign Table reimagines federal restoration efforts as opportunities for Tribal-led co-stewardship. Monuments of colonization are transformed into a knowledge infrastructure network that fosters biocultural sovereignty and shared ecological care.
